Gabriela Spampinato is an LA-based Latina cinematographer who endeavors to make a name for herself in the film industry. Raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of South Florida, Gabriela’s early exposure to diverse narratives and the arts laid the groundwork for her journey in filmmaking.
As a former violinist, she developed a keen sense of rhythm, emotion, and precision—qualities that translate into her work behind the camera. Her degree in Geological Sciences is a testament to her analytical mindset and appreciation for the natural world's intricacies.
Gabriela moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to attend the prestigious MFA program at UCLA, where she honed her technical skills and artistic vision through rigorous training and numerous opportunities to collaborate with emerging filmmakers. Since completing her MFA, Gabriela has shot two feature films, numerous narrative short films, and music videos, showcasing her versatile talent behind the camera.
